Founded in 2012 as a student-led initiative with a single shelf, the Portland State University Food Pantry has evolved into an Oregon Food Bank Partner Agency. Today, our commitment to providing PSU students with free groceries in a welcoming, equitable, and trauma-informed manner is strengthened by the dedication of both our student leaders and a professional Pantry Coordinator.
We are grateful for the ongoing robust support from PSU and private donors, which complements our operating budget allocated by the Student Fee Committee (as a department within Student Activities and Leadership Programs). Additional food for students is generously funded through our PSU Foundation account.
