ASPSU Weekly Senate Meetings

EVERY MONDAY, 4:00-6:00 PM, in SALP OrgSpace (Smith Memorial Student Union room m108)

PSU students, consider joining ASPSU representatives at our weekly all-member Senate meetings!

If you are interested in campus politics, have questions about resources, need help with an institution-related problem, or if you simply are curious as to what we do, then ASPSU Senate is the place for you to be on any Monday night.

Additional Notes/Requesting an Agenda Spot:

PSU student government strives to create an inclusive and welcoming environment. We appreciate ALL student guests, the insights they bring, and the identities that they hold.

Beyond inclusive practices, we will try our best to accommodate any potential disability-related needs. Please contact the ASPSU Senate Speaker before the meeting you're attending by Monday at 3:30 PM, and we will do what we can to make our meeting accessible to you.

Our only request is that if you would like to present or talk to representatives on record at the Senate meeting, please email our Senate Speaker (aspsusen@pdx.edu) beforehand to request a spot on our agenda. The Senate Speaker will coordinate with you to accommodate your schedule and book your agenda spot. This process is quickest when your initial email includes:

SUBJECT LINE: " YOUR NAME - Senate Agenda Request "
1. The materials for your presentation (documents, presentations, links, etc)
2. The Monday(s) you are available to attend Senate
3. Approximately what time you'd like to present (starting anytime between 4:15 and 5:45 PM)
4. How much time you expect the presentation/conversation to take.

You will receive a formal confirmation of your spot at least 24 hours beforehand via email when the Senate Speaker sends our weekly meeting notice and adds you as a recipient. Please make sure to update the Senate Speaker if your plans change/you need to come earlier or later/you have additional materials to be linked on the agenda.
