As future clinicians and professionals, how do we move from learning about cultural humility to actually practicing it?

Equity Discussion Group (EDG) invites you to join us for a virtual conversation on Cultural Humility in Practice on April 20 at 5:00 PM via Zoom.

Our guest speaker, Meridith Heckler (she/her), is a Spanish–English bilingual school-based speech-language pathologist near Boston and a graduate of Portland State University’s Speech and Hearing Sciences program. During her time at PSU, she helped establish EDG and continues to be involved in several equity-focused professional initiatives and mentorship programs dedicated to advancing cultural humility and representation within the SLP field.

During this session, Meridith will discuss cultural humility as an ongoing professional practice across professions that serve diverse clients and communities. The conversation will also include opportunities for reflection and discussion.
